I believe Supporters Voice Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary …

Comment on On Grounds for Judicial Review by Homunculus.

I believe Supporters Voice Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Club 1872 Limited.

If it isn’t speaking for Club 1872 then it’s difficult to imagine who it is speaking for.

The statement being released by the wholly owned subsidiary is surely no different from it being released by it’s holding company.

The statement was made, in every meaningful way, by Rangers International PLC’s second largest shareholder.

Unfortunately that opens up all sorts of things like investigations into transfers, search of premises, other things coming to light. It can all get rather messy.

I don’t know if this is the case for the pages you are looking for, however it may be worth noting that there is a European “right to be forgotten”. People (and presumably other entities) can request that online information be removed. It is no longer the case that once something is on the www that it will be there forever.

It is worth noting that if a page is important to you, for whatever reason, then the safest option is to download it. Right click, save as, will download an entire page which you can then refer back to locally rather than accessing the net to get the content. It will still open up in your browser as normal by clicking on the “link”.

It is also worth remembering that the www is not the entire internet and google is not the only search engine. So just because you cannot find something through google, bing or the more common search engines that does not mean it is no longer there, just that it is no longer included in their index. I think the fact that people now talk about “googling” something demonstrates just how ubiquitous that particular search engine is.

Third in the top division at the first attempt was a really good achievement.

They are lying sixth just now, so maybe that was a bit of freak.

I assume he is aiming for the glory days of third place. Which is achievable with the best squad in Scotland I would have thought.

To Comply or not to Comply ?
It is worth bearing in mind that administration is normally used (at least by football clubs) as a form of self-defence.

A creditor doesn’t get paid, they move for winding up, the company places itself into administration. A company cannot be wound up if it is administration.

There is of course voluntary administration, but that is really just saying “we are fecked financially, can someone sort it out please”.

In either case, as I understand it, the directors hand over control to an insolvency practitioner.

The right to freedom of expression is not absolute, it must take into account the needs of the entire population.

If someone said they wanted to have a rally in Glasgow Green in which they would proclaim their hatred for {insert minority group here} and would want the Police to be there to ensure their right to express their hatred was respected, do you think it would be allowed.

Or would that depend on who the minority group was.

The right to freedom of expression is not absolute, certainly not in this country.

My understanding of the golden rule “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you” (or whatever similar translation you wish to use) is my understanding of it, and the message I take from it.

I have clearly simplified it for the purposes of posting on a football forum.

I am happy for you to take your own meaning from it.

I apologised to the board for my last and I do so again with an assurance I will not be discussing it further.

Speaking as an agnostic theist my biggest issue with Project DOTT is indeed how it seems to run totally contrary to the Golden Rule, found in many religions and not just Christianity. A message that many people of no religion at all try to adhere to.

If people are Christians then surely “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you” is an instruction to be nice to each other, which kind of goes against the Project DOTT ethos of, get stuck into them, no mercy, no surrender watp. In fact little of that call to arms appears to me to sit comfortably with the Christian message.

I once listened to a homily given by a Jesuit. Long story short he pointed out that whilst people may be sitting at a service in the middle of the day that did not mean they were any more entitled to salvation than someone who was out and about, doing their business, following the teachings of Christ (whether they were Christian or not). Living a good life. That God was more interested in people following those teachings and living their lives well. Doing unto others as they would have others do unto them.

I found it rather inspirational that such a man should point out that it was about how you lived your life, not just about how often you attended Church or prayed. It could not have been more different to the Project DOTT message.

Apologies to the blog, I know we should stay away from religion etc. It was more the message I was talking about rather than any particular religion or denomination.

I always just thought it was  a theft of copyright from a charity. They did it because they knew the support which was their target market would buy that sort of product.
