Is having to pay Mr Barton/Sanderos/Krancjar/Hill and so on many many thousands of pounds per week a reasonable excuse for defaulting on VAT or other taxes? And would engineering their removal from payroll be seen to be putting a big hoose in order?
Not a reasonable excuse: TRFC/RIFC is simply the ‘collecting agent’ re: net VAT payments due or salary-related tax deductions, so non-payment is like ‘pilfering’ HMRC’s money.

Only way to legally get shot of overpriced players with no Ibrox payoff…erm, that would be administration and/or liquidation…

If the SMSM report on the rumour that TRFC/RIFC is withholding HMRC payments, , then shirley HMRC would then have to be seen to act promptly to recover these monies ?

It seems obvious that the FA – and SFA – are unable to self-govern and self-regulate the football industry competently.

Wrt the SFA, it receives millions in public money.

Either the SFA refuses public funding in future,
it fully complies with any governments reviews / regulations.

The government – you would think – is now obligated to step in and impose external, regulatory control ?

7 October 3, 2016 at 14:11Meanwhile Phil Mac is hinting that the last 2 quarters returns to HMRC have not been met by Sevco. If this is the case surely the beginning of the end. It would be a gross dereliction of duty by Hector if this is not stamped on hard.======================================IF that is the case (and Phil mac has been wide of the mark many times) I would hope that Hector is camped in the BIG HOOSE now! Two quarters? I assume this is VAT so what about Tax and NI?
Feels like deja vu – all over again.  09

A typical route to admin./liquidation: stiff all your creditors – but the taxman should only be stiffed last.

This TRFC story might be true, might be wishful thinking.

But if rumours of that nature are doing the rounds, you would think that any TRFC supplier would now be at Ibrox demanding any overdue payments – and to insist on providing any future supplies only on a strictly cash upfront basis ?

And we are told that the respondents’ three priorities for the SFA are as follows
1. Promoting Scottish football;
2. Increasing grassroots participation…”

It took a survey of 14,000 respondents to identify these top 2 priorities ?

If these have not been the top 2 priorities since the SFA was created…then what have the blazers been doing all this time ?!

With the obvious conflict of interests arising from this SDS survey being “in partnership with the Scottish FA and supported by the SPFL”, one would have to take any interpretation of the results with a big pinch of salt.

And not least because the carefully selected questions posed in the survey omitted important areas, such as ;

Do you think the SFA is “Respected and Trusted to Lead” ?  15

Guessing that the day of the World Cup Final would be ideal to release footy related news you want ignored…?

To Comply or not to Comply ?
Seems like the Evening Shark Jump [(c) The Clumpany 2016] is getting pelters from all angles for its p!sh poor ‘reporting’.

As a 14 year old, after school I daily carried 75 (heavy) ET papers to my paper pitch outside the Howdens factory on Scotland Street.

At that time it was regarded as a decent paper, with decent footy coverage.

A shame that it is now regarded as sh!t, and the sooner it dies the better for all.

That would indeed be progress.

Phil’s latest is suggesting that Hummel is not too happy.

Shirley, any/every supplier to RIFC/TRFC is fully aware of the risks involved with doing business with the Ibrox club / company?

IMO, anyone or any business dealing with RIFC/TRFC should be doing so for subjective and non-business reasons.

So Hell mend them when TRFC hits the buffers.

I followed a link on Twitter to the Steven Gerrard press conference from yesterday. His body language suggested a man still not entirely comfortable in his new job. More worryingly is that he seems to be overly relying on a full house at Ibrox to overcome tonights opposition. It’s a big game for the rookie manager with his entire reputation and credentials on the line. Interesting times.

Well, like any ex-player new to management, Gerrard should be allowed some leeway with his first club: after all, his lack of experience is a very public – and accepted – high risk for both the manager and the club.

The opposition tonight were quoted at 50/1 for a win, so had to put a couple of quid on, just in case.

So the bookies think that TRFC should win easily, but football can be a funny old game.
What if they lose tonight…?

I would be bricking it if I was in Gerrard’s brogues.

I think Level42 should have a look at this…as a potential signing target?
