Comment on Bad Money? by The_Steed.

    I’ve not posted for a while, but the events over the weekend and in particular the comments from Rangers leave me astounded;

”Rightly or wrongly a gate was forced”

Sorry?  What?  What possible “right” reason could there be for fans to force their way INTO a stadium?

Rangers have shown time and time again that they will accept no responsibility for their fans actions.  Unless someone does something people are going to get seriously hurt or killed.

    I won’t hold my breath though…

Almost one year ago to the day…

And as if by magic, there’s a piece along the same lines in the Record today about Lafferty.

I was going to suggest that Hearts should offer £100k for Morelos and ‘turn his head’, but the danger with that is that the offer might get accepted 10

Well, that was a thoroughly enjoyable 90 minutes and Hearts have filled me with (probably) false hope that they might be able to do something this year – Ikpeazu looks like some shrewd business.

On the downside, I can only read one thing from Lafferty wearing blue boots and that’s incredibly disappointing.  I seem to remember him waxing lyrical last season about how grateful he was for Hearts giving him a chance, but that’s obviously forgotten about now…

Just to follow up on my last post, please don’t think that I am defending the OO – I honestly despair that these walks are taking place in Scotland in 2018.

I was just making the point that if we expect the Council/ Police/ Government to start banning legal activities when the majority of people don’t like the activities, it’s the start of a slippery slope…

Anyway, this is all a bit heavy for a fitba blog, so well done Celtic on a good away win, and good luck to Croatia!

Jimbo – as much as it sticks in the craw , we have to respect free speech.

The Orange Order itself is not a proscribed organisation in Scotland, so the logical extension of that is that they should be able to march if they so wish.  (With the proviso that anyone breaking the law should be dealt with).

I don’t even think you can say that they have to pay for the policing themselves, as then you’re saying that you can only march/ walk/ demonstrate if you can afford it.

It’s a rubbish state of affairs, and I don’t know what the answer is.  Perhaps the way to deal with it is the same way as smoking?  By that I mean make it socially unacceptable as opposed to trying to ban it…

I could have sworn that I remember much trumpeting in the SMSM that Sports Direct had been sent packing and that the GASL has vanquished Ashley.

Turns out the reality is that Rangers can enter into an agreement with another Company, but have to give Sports Direct full information about the deal, and even better than that – Sports Direct can decide to match the offer and Rangers have to continue using them!

Or am I reading it wrong?
