    The acid test of patriotism.

Replying to Bordersdon and Paddymalarkey from earlier today. I didn’t see the McKenna article at the weekend however it appeared on my Twitter feed and I note that the estimable Fr. Stone has retweeted it. Assuming it’s not a clever spoof account then it’s pretty worrying that if you believe that the liquidation of Rangers 1872 didn’t happen then you’re one of us.

The IOC have recently opened a new HQ in Switzerland at a reported cost of £120 million. It’s very nice and environmentally friendly. I would not be surprised if FIFA get a bit jealous and also build a shiny new symbol of wealth and power sponsored of course by whoever wants the World Cup Finals the most.

Never mind the millions landing at Firhill, it’s all about the “big data” analytics.

It’s 2 years away but the marketing is starting in earnest. Since it’s quiet like.

At the risk of causing your blood pressure to go through the roof I wonder if you noticed the publication of Theresa May’s honours list as departing PM? The Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police received an honour as well as a businessman who until fairly recently was being investigated by the Met over allegations of serious fraud. What a coincidence eh?

The resignation of Mark Allen is significant especially in the light of Wes Foderingham deciding to just wait out his contract.

I had a read through today’s JJ blog on your prompting. It’s familiar territory for JJ and I would agree with you that he’s wading into deep water with the number of actors he cites by name. There is a digital book out shortly so today’s offering may be a teaser and there might be more lurid material available at a price.

“Holyrood’s Justice committee stepped up the pressure on the SPFL by calling on the information to be published and urging “transparency”.

From the Herald today. I suppose in the wake of the trouble around recent marches our Government probably thought something should be done. It will be interesting to see if the SPFL allow the government to publish.
