I know we are all waiting eagerly for Mr Petrie’s first speech as President.

So does that mean we can all forget about waiting eagerly for Mr. McRae's?

Neil Doncaster went to Dingwall last night to present Ross County with the Championship and the players' medals!

How much does he get paid?

Tongue in cheek perhaps but maybe worth pursuing.

That'll be kicked into the long grass!

To Comply or not to Comply ?

"Then we have Scott Browns CONSTANT sly kicks, stamps and elbows that he doesnt get away with in European games, but never seems to get punished in Scotland for them."

Noted the emphasis on Scott Brown and the change to capitals usually indicates swearing. Is this because you don't like the guy, you do know Scott Brown was sent of for a tackle on Liam Boyce and he did  not appeal the decision, why would that be.

I know it's hard to believe that the Scott Brown red card for the Liam Boyce tackle would be appealed.  But it was, and it was rescinded!

The long read on the Guardian website is quite interesting, “Denialism: what drives people to reject the truth”.

While I agree that a twelve team league with a split for the final five games is not ideal, it does seem to keep most games fairly meaningful.  There is competition to get into the top six and as it stands now, four teams are in contention for Europa league slots and four teams are vying to avoid relegation and the play-off spot.  So it’s not all bad?

I have sympathy for Hearts losing a home game but as things stand, it had to happen to one team.  Of course, Hearts’ loss is another team’s gain so Motherwell get an extra home game.  Last season the extra home game went to a team in the top six (Partick Thistle) and a team in the bottom six had one fewer home game (Ross County).

I think that the biggest problem with the split is the lack of clear rules.  If there were specific rules covering the scheduling of games and rules covering the decision making of which teams are chosen not to get nineteen home games if applicable – even if that was by ballot – then there would be less case for argument or complaint.  Rules and Scottish football, what am I like?

I know some Ross County supporters who aren’t happy that Bobby Madden is officiating at their game against Hibs tomorrow.  My initial reaction to that was that if they thought he was Rangers facing, then they should actually be pleased because in that case, he wouldn’t be doing Hibs any favours!  Their perception is that he is one of a number of referees who would be pleased to see the back of them because they don’t care for travelling to Dingwall.  Different supporters, different bias perceptions?
